Patel announced in a LinkedIn post he is leaving the FDA after more than a decade to join Google.
In his new role, Patel said he will help Google build a digital health and regulatory strategy.
“The power of technology, when coupled with a unified digital health and regulatory approach, promises to transform people’s lives,” Patel said in the post.
